Biography

Dr. Jane Njeri Gacohi is a lecturer at Egerton University in the Department of Psychology and Counselling and has a PhD in Counselling Psychology, specializing in Career Psychology; an M.Ed. in Guidance and Counselling from Egerton University and B.Ed. (Sci) degree from Kenyatta University and has a long serving career as a teacher for over 30 years. She is a proficient career counsellor and consultant, an author, a passionate and seasoned speaker and facilitator in conferences, workshops, seminars, churches, schools and colleges. She has passion for service among students and young people where she has served as a teacher, counsellor and mentor in various para-church ministries such as Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS) and Kenya Students Christian Fellowship (KSCF). She is currently the Christian Union Patron of Egerton University Nakuru Town Campus.

Dr. Njeri fellowships at CITAM-Nakuru where she serves as an Assembly elder and also in the Fellowship of Elders.  She has been a speaker and guest in various Radio and TV forums. She is the host and teacher in The Marriage Classroomprogramme on MBCI TV.  She is basically three things; she is a Teacher, Speaker and Preacher.

Dr. Njeri Gacohi is married to Mwalimu Michael Gacohi and together they are blessed with two adult children; Martin and Tabitha, and a grandson, Jasiri. They live in Nakuru, Kenya.
